Outstanding!
I would not expect such vivid imagery and subtle use of text from
someone still in college, truly incredible. 5 stars!
'He's been listening to Morrissey' by

I enjoyed the humour, in fact the whole thing read
very well. Carrie Holroyd should go on writing as she will get published,
if she hasn't been already.
By Hook or By Crook by A J Kirby

A simply written but deep-feeling piece about a boy's - and subsequently
a man's - relationship with his father. The piece accurately describes
the ease with which a child can misinterpret everything about a parent
until, when the inevitablehappens, they are made aware that
really, the only thing they never understood was how much they were
loved and how it is - always - the littlest things that come to mean
the most. An extremely tender and insightful piece of writing. I look
forward to reading more of this author's work.

'Conus and the Curse of the Dragon'

Liked it! Different, in a good way. Imagination and
a quirky, funny style but also a serious story about love. Hope she
writes more.

The detail is inexplicable. It's as if I am watching an opening sequence
of a film; I love it. A brilliant and intriguing first chapter. Is
there a second? I want to know the plot as to what the character is
going to do and so on.

Hello, Naomi if you still check this and read reviews
just to let you know that I think you've got a bright future, even
though I'm not so sure about the whole ollie thing. Keep writing!
I too carry a pad around with me, and if I don't I've found myself
writing on myself just so I don't forget, I know what it's like. Great
chapter, GOOD LUCK!
